The Interplay of Colour and Light

This project aims to bring artistic attention towards something that exists in almost every street setting but is overlooked as many to be a form of vandalism or garbage. Stickers, posters, and graffiti on street notice boards, signage, poles, and walls are regularly torn, scratched, and layered upon one another which creates a beautiful collage of abstract colours, shapes, and especially textures. I aim to capture this using up-close and abstract compositions focusing on the texture and history of these objects to show that there is beauty and inspiration to be found amongst them.
